Thanks for visiting my blog. It's sort of a running history of the trials and tribulations of raising a busy family. I work full time as a nurse and my husband is at home keeping the rest of our lives in some sort of order. Life is busy, fun and challenging every single day. I hope you enjoy our story!

Good Bye to the 2s.....

On the eve of our "baby's" third birthday, I thought it fitting to write a sort of tribute to the 2s. This will, almost certainly (less than .1% chance), be our last 2 year old :) In honor (celebration, mourning and/or disbelief) of this, I was thinking through everything I want to remember about the 2s before they are forever buried in all of my other memories. Because, well, the 2s are just different. Not quite a baby, but still so little. And so, the best way I can think to describe it is this....

Captivating

Adventurous

Cuddly

Surprising

Lovable

Helpful

Independent

Trainable

Carefree

Scary

Creative

Sweet

Silly

Stubborn

Frustrating

Bossy

Exhausting

All grown up

Sarah,
You have been the most challenging, fun, frustrating, lovable, fast paced, fearless, reckless 2 year old we have had the pleasure of raising. There were days we were certain we'd never get you through this year! But, here we are, you're almost 3- where did the time go??? To describe your twos to you wouldn't do it justice. It has been 12 months of watching while you explored without any hesitation, ran without looking back, learned at lightning speed, frustrated us to the max, broke more items than we could count and yet managed to capture all (yes, Alex and Anna included!) our hearts even more. You are the most amazingly sweet and lovable little girl who is the best of all of us. You bring fun and laughter to us every single day. Your antics and adventures keep us focused on what is really important in life. So, yes, you've challenged us in every way and there have been days when locking you in the dog kennel may have crossed our minds, but at the end of every day we are always hugged with such intensity that all of the worries of the day are erased. Thanks for closing out the "2s" with a bang baby girl!
