Thanks for visiting my blog. It's sort of a running history of the trials and tribulations of raising a busy family. I work full time as a nurse and my husband is at home keeping the rest of our lives in some sort of order. Life is busy, fun and challenging every single day. I hope you enjoy our story!

A Quick Peek

Well, as some of you may know, Gillette is opening an Advanced Imaging Center. This past week, the ultrasound tech was looking for volunteers to have ultrasounds done so she could fine tune her machine. So, I got to have another peek at the newest member of our family. I'm happy (and relieved) to say that it is still a girl. This is a good thing, as everything we have bought is quite girly and we'd have one confused little boy on our hands if these ultrasounds are wrong (not to mention a nameless little boy as we have not even discussed boy names). She is in the head down position and appears to be growing well. About 8 weeks to go now- my how time flies!

In other news, Alex's room is finally painted. The carpet will be going in this week and if all goes well, Alex should be moved in next weekend. Wish us luck on making this move, as all of you who know Alex well know that change is really not his friend!

In case you are wondering what the picture has to do with this post- it doesn't really. Anna was just noticing that there were no pictures of her on the blog yet and so she wanted to share how she felt about that- what a sweetie :) I think we are in for some jealousy issues with our little banana, but as you all know Anna has always had a bit of "Annatude" as grandma calls it.

Long Days.....Short Years

Well, Alex has officially "graduated" from preschool. At his ceremony last week I couldn't help but think of the saying "The days will be long, but the years will be so short". I have heard this several times since we've had kids and it is so true. It seems like just yesterday it was Alex's arrival we were waiting on. Now he's all grown up and on his way to Kindergarten. It helps me keep it all in perspective and not wish away these last couple of months of pregnancy. I know that when I look back on it in a few years, I won't even believe how fast it has gone. Anyways, I've included the one shot we got of Alex with his preschool teachers. I think I must have taken too many pictures of that kid as a baby because he absolutely hates cameras now. I'll have to be more careful with this one......

Preparing for Number Three....

Well, we are officially on the countdown now. I thought it would be nice to start a Blog for those of you interested in following along these last couple of months and, of course, it will be an easy way to get pictures of the new little princess out to you as fast as possible! The C-section date has been set for July 28th. It's a bit odd going into the doctor's office and picking out a birthday! It sounded like a good day to me (the truth being it was the very earliest day my OB would agree to do it- such a stickler to the rules!). I thought I'd include the 20 week ultrasound picture for those of you that hadn't seen it. Plus it gives me practice in posting pictures to my blog.

We are getting closer to being ready. Alex's room is nearly ready for paint and carpeting. He picked out nice brown carpet and brown paint. Thank God we talked him out of the Star Wars Lava Red that he really wanted. I did find him a very cool 30th anniversary Star Wars poster however, that should make him happy. We bought pink paint for the girls' room today. Anna is very excited to put up some Disney Princess posters that she found. Anna and I hit the Woodbury days garage sales yesterday for nearly 7 hours. She is quite the little shopper! We found many bargains for the new baby. Many cute girls clothes to browse through. I think at this rate, she'll be able to wear each outfit once! Hopefully she'll stay small long enough to get through them all.
